i didn’t know that pickles went bad. i just had a bite of one then looked at the expiration date on the jar. it was dated for October 2010. then i had a bite of another pickle out of another jar which didn’t have an expiration date but because the first pickle i ate was bad it made the second pickle from the second jar taste bad. i’m bummed because i really wanted a pickle. that and onion rings. and ketchup.  now i’m really concerned about the jar of olives that have been in the fridge since summer. life can be so cruel.
