i was dating this guy nick a couple summers ago. he lived in baltimore. we ended things, but stayed friends. the next summer, he invited me up. i didn’t want to go unless i had someone to photograph in the city. nick hooked me up with Jim Lucio, who passed Kristina’s contact info along. Jim had photographed Kristina before. i love Jim’s art. i called Kristina to see if she would pose for me. i remember that she was sucking a popsicle while we talked on the phone. i could hear it. it was very hot that day. we set something up and i headed to baltimore a couple of weeks later. we had such a good time. i LOVE baltimore. kristina has crazy stories and has led this fascinating life. we talked for like two hours at The Eagle. and then had dinner. i really liked her. the next day she introduced me to her two close friends Christopher and Maurice. they are partners. we laughed a lot. i hung out with Jim too. his boyfriend, Jeremy, was bartending at Club Charles so went there and got drunk. jeremy is also an artist.
it’s funny, i only spent about an hour and half in total with nick the whole trip. writing this makes me miss baltimore. i have to go back in the spring. here are some images of kristina. maurice did most of the styling.
